Sykes Seafood looks back with pride on taking part in the North Holland Entrepreneur Awards 2026. The results were announced during the final evening on 27 May in Haarlem. Although we did not win the main prize this year, Sykes Seafood is among the top 10 finalists in the Large Enterprise category — an achievement we are extremely proud of.
Recognition for sustainable enterprise
The North Holland Entrepreneur Awards bring together the most progressive and successful companies in the region every year. A place in the final is therefore an important recognition of entrepreneurship, innovation and impact.
For Sykes Seafood, this nomination feels like a confirmation of the course we steer every day. From Volendam we work continuously on processing and making prawns more sustainable, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and sustainability. It is special to see that these efforts are also valued externally.
An inspiring experience

Although we did not go home with the win, we take away something at least as valuable: inspiration, recognition and new motivation to keep building our organisation.
